How much time do you spend working?

When I was working for a manufacturer, I used to wish I could stop by a coffee shop on my way to work and leisurely head to the office.
I thought I'd be able to do that freely once I became self-employed.
But it turns out that's not really the case, and I'm still hurrying off to work.
It was only after I started working for myself that I truly began to appreciate the value of time.
On weekdays, my daughter has daycare, so I leave the house at that time.
On Sundays, you might think I'd take it a bit easier, but I actually leave around the same time as weekdays.
Time with family is important, but time spent on work is also important.
I feel like I'd like to leave later, but then I feel like I'm wasting time.
This morning was Sunday, and my daughter was awake before I left for work.
She brought me the picture story show she borrowed from the library yesterday and asked, "Read this for me~."
My wife, who was hanging laundry, said, "Daddy has to work, so Mommy will read it when she's done with the laundry," but I decided to read the picture story show for her, thinking it was fine.
My six-month-old son was sitting next to my daughter.
My five-year-old daughter held her brother's hand, and both of them watched and listened to the picture story show with serious faces.
They were so cute that while I was reading, I didn't take in any of the story's content.
Ah, I was glad I read it.
How much time should I dedicate to work?
Sometimes I envy company employees whose working hours are fixed.
But if I were a company employee, I probably wouldn't have seen my children's faces this morning.
No, wait, if I had weekends off as a company employee, maybe I'd see them more.
I started thinking about such things often after my child was born.
My daughter loves watching YouTube.
"You have to stop watching YouTube when Daddy comes home."
It seems she was told that,
In the evening, when I came home, she said, "Oh no, he's back~."
